High School Leadership & Legislature

Picture

Would you like your high schooler to gain a better understanding of our government?
This summer your child can participate local & state governmental processes through the American Legion Boys & Girls Programs.  During the week long program, your students will take part in--

-
legislative sessions
-court proceedings
-law enforcement presentations
-training in various topics
-assemblies
-journalism and recreational programs

The program cost is usually $200, but most participants receive sponsorship from the local American Legion branch and get to go for FREE!

For more information or to review the application process, please visit the following American Legion web sites...

Kentucky Boys State
Kentucky Girls State
The web site for the girls' program has not been updated yet, but I think that you can call the representative listed on the page for more information.  For now, I would also use the information listed under the Boys State link to get a better understanding of the program and the application process.
