Celebrate HEART month this February at the Living Arts & Science Center with special guest doctors and scientists from the University of Kentucky!
Presenters will include:
Dr. Susan Smyth, PhD, MD, Chief, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and Medical Director, Gill Heart Institute;
Dr. Ted Wright, MD, Transplant Surgeon;
Dr. Deb Rateri, PhD, Cardiovascular Researcher;
Dr. Sylvia Cerel-Suhl, KidsArt4Hearts.com
The Living Arts & Science Center’s Glo Gallery will glow Healthy Heart RED while inside we explore heart science and health in a fun, hands-on fashion! Enjoy heart healthy snacks, check out REAL human hearts, learn CPR, participate in heart healthy yoga and cardio dance in the planetarium, get your blood pressure checked, and enjoy giveaways and a healthy grocery bag raffle!
You will also have the opportunity to combine art and science with the fascinating KidsArt4Hearts origami project. Families can join in the fun of creating a giant heart art installation here at the LASC and make your own hearts to take home.

Join us at the Living Arts & Science Center to experience art and science. On the first Thursday of every month we invite a local artist or scientist to come and show us a little of what they do. Hands-on art activities and frequent Planetarium shows are also featured!
