Dickens Christmas Festival-- December 3rd & 4th, 10th & 11th
Join Dickens characters for holiday cheer at the Kentucky Renaissance Festival grounds in Eminence, KY
Victorian Christmas-- December 2nd & 3rd, 9th & 10th
White Hall State Historic Site, Richmond, KY
Costumed interpreters, holiday festivities, $10 per person, free for ages 5 and under.
Wilmore, KY's Old Fashion Musical Christmas-- December 3rd
From the Wilmore web site: "Spend the full day in Wilmore and enjoy small town charm and holiday hospitality. Some of the activities are a pancake breakfast, train exhibit, several quality craft shows, business open houses, church open houses, lighting of City Christmas tree, elf contest and more. Sponsored by the Wilmore Parks & Recreation Dept."
Day of Holiday Cheer--December 4th, 1-5 PM, Jessamine County Public Library
Hidden elves throughout the library, meet and greet with Santa, musical performances, and a showing of the movie "Elf"
Lexington Christmas Parade--December 6th, 7 PM
Main Street, Lexington, KY
While you are in town for the parade, scoot on over to the library for Parade Pop-In Ornament Making-- Central Library Atrium, 6-8 PM
The Polar Express In Sadieville-- December 9th & 10th
From the Lexington Herald Leader Calendar-- "Georgetown/Scott County Public Library hosts the Polar Express in Sadieville, KY. Children come from all over Scott County to ride the Polar Express and meet Santa Claus. The conductor will take their tickets and they will board the train. A narrator reads the book, "The Polar Express" to all the children on a stationary train in Sadieville. After the trip, the children will meet Santa who gives them a bell, just like the one in the story. For more information-- (502) 863-3566"
